What is a TVC?

A TVC is a television commercial: a short, planned video advertisement, usually 30 to 90 seconds. Today the same film is used far beyond television. It runs on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, websites and in-store screens.

Is a TVC only for big brands?

No. A well-made TVC helps a local brand look established and gives its team one strong asset to reuse for months. We recently produced a TVC for RG Designer Studio in Karad, a premium fashion brand film built around the idea “परंपरा की पहचान”. You can watch it in the TVC section of our home page.

How do you plan a TVC?

  1. Start with one idea. What should a viewer feel or remember? Pick one message, not five.
  2. Write the script and storyboard. Decide the shots, the voice-over or music and the call to action before anyone touches a camera.
  3. Prepare the shoot. Locations, talent, props, costumes and a shot list save time and money on the day.
  4. Shoot and edit. Good lighting, clean sound, colour grading and pacing make the film feel premium.
  5. Cut it for every platform. One master film becomes a long version, a 15 to 30 second cut and vertical reels.
  6. Distribute with a plan. Publish on YouTube and your website, run it as Meta video ads, and use shorter cuts for stories and reels.

How do you know if a TVC worked?

Decide the goal first: more enquiries, more footfall, more brand searches or more followers. Then track the signals that match, such as WhatsApp enquiries, video views and completion, website visits and calls. Avoid judging only on views.

What should you avoid?

  • Trying to say everything in one film.
  • Skipping the script because “we will figure it out on the shoot”.
  • Using poor audio. Viewers forgive average video but not bad sound.
  • Publishing once and forgetting. A TVC works best when reused across channels.

Frequently asked questions

What does TVC stand for?

TVC stands for television commercial, a short planned video advertisement that can also run on YouTube and social media.

How long should a TVC be?

Most TVCs run 30 to 90 seconds. It helps to also cut 15 to 30 second and vertical versions for social media.

Can a small business afford a TVC?

Costs depend on the idea, locations, cast and edit. A focused concept with careful planning usually controls cost better than a large, unfocused shoot.

Where should a TVC be published?

On YouTube and your website first, then as Meta video ads and short cuts on Instagram and Facebook, and on TV where it suits your audience.
